But Obama says,
Second, American leadership in this world really is indispensable. It's up to us, through action and example, to sustain the international order that's expanded steadily since the end of the Cold War, and upon which our own wealth and safety depend.
One aspect of the "international order" that Obama refers to is the global network of US military bases scattered across the globe, except in the BRICS nations and, of course, Iran.
Another aspect is the control over global finance that the USA has: IMF, World Bank, Wall Street, etc.
Another is the global surveillance network.
Another is the largest military budget in the world, which is larger than the next 8 largest combined, and 4 times that of the 2nd largest, which is that of China.
That is the "international order" that Obama refers to.
And by "American leadership" Obama means America controlling the world through this "international order". And by "action and example" he means war: America first, followed by its allies, and they are all trying to keep the rest of the world down, but now BRICS are getting together, creating an opposition and are proposing a new currency.
